Local Queens flavor

I used to write for Give Me Astoria Magazine, the print version of a local blog covering my corner of northeastern Queens. I’m always interested in writing about cool local characters, projects undertaken by neighborhood businesses, and whatever else can’t be found in any other part of New York City.

Being Asian and American during coronavirus: Andrew Yang gets something big wrong

I wrote an op-ed for the New York Daily News in response to Andrew Yang’s statement that Asian Americans should “wear red white and blue” and “show without a shadow of a doubt that we are Americans who will do our part for our country in this time of need” during the COVID-19 pandemic.
